A Lady in Waiting

Today I made a corresponding page to go with the Photo Op page I make yesterday.  Today’s page was part of quote contest.

Anticipation-this was Alex’s first trip to Disneyland. She waited so patiently during the Princess Lunch for the characters to make their way to our table.

Did someone say Happy Meal??

The food industry, according to buzzle.com, has always been in the forefront when it was about advertising.  Look at these catchy slogans  used to get the food-lovers drooling. McDonald's came up with a slogan that said, "I’m lovin’ it".  It became hugely popular with the lovers of McDonald's burgers and fries.  They advertised their Happy Meal with a slogan, "Put a smile on". It really brought a million smiles on the faces of children around the world.

Alex and Connor have a completely different take on a Happy Meal here.

I used Splendid Fiins Super Hero series to make this page.  Too fun!!

Beach Beauty - GSO at ScrapMatters

I woke this morning to see that my Beach Beauty layout was selected as a gallery standout at ScrapMatters. Yay, yay, this is always such a boost when it happens. I love these photos of Alex frolicking at the beach.

To make this page, I used Sunburn Savvy by Erica Zane and the word art is from Wordart-Light and Breezy by Jopke Designs.

Turn Your world Upside down

Each year the AP Psychology students design a t-shirt to promote their class. This year they used a photo of Dave wearing inversion goggles. These glasses literally turn your vision upside down.

Brain Freeze

I made this page for a speed crap at ScrapMatters using Plum Dumpling Design’s I scream.  I Scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! We love our ice cream around here and I'm sure you probably do too! I Scream is a kit to celebrate all things ice cream. It has a great primary color palette and lots of those cold treats like cups, cones, milk shakes, root beer floats and more! I Scream is a perfect kit to scrap those drippy, melty messes and those fond memories enjoying your frozen treats!

Connor has a classic case of “brain freeze” in this shot.  This kit was just perfect to capture this memory.

Jodie Lee has vintage overlays for us today.  These make beautiful additions to so many scrapping projects.  Today I used them on some travel pages and on a card.  You can get them here.

Dave needed a birthday card for a friend who is a fellow social studies teacher.  The overlay was perfect for this project.

One Month Later . . .

We’re back from our wonderful European vacation and I’m ready to get scrapping again.  It will probably take me a couple weeks just to get the vacation pictures into some semblance of order, so look forward to seeing them in the distant future.

For today, I have a gorgeous set of papers to show you from Carina Gardner at Jessica Sprague.com. Carina has designed a wonderful series of Victoria papers. The set I used was Victoria Art Paper set 3.

This is one of my favorite photos of Alex.  Isn’t she just gorgeous in this photo!!!
